The Pink Pepper Berries belongs to the sumac family(cashew) plant which bears berries that taste sweet, fruity, slightly hot , because of its slightly pungent taste and the shape bears similarity of peppers, it is often mistakenly referred to as pink pepper. The berries are grown from bushes and tress which goes up to 12 meters tall, there grape like berries are harvested from the end of November all the way into February within the warm and humid region of Brazil.
Pink Pepper Berries not only can be used as a spice, due to its beauty in nature, it can be used as decorative garnish or mixed within other common pepper and spice mixture to further enhance the taste and visual. Take note that it is still considered a berry, as such pepper mill might sometimes get clogged up.
